                                                  Spring Semester Grades

A) Is your grade in line with your goals?
My grades are not even close to what I had in mind to pass the class with. Its actually horrifying to look at my grades. I know that when my mom takes a look at that ugly 65 she's going to KILL me.
B) How can you reach your full potential?
I think I can reach my full potential if I actually try my all and stop being so lazy. I will try to pay more attention in class and stop talking and doing things that have nothing to do with the class. focus on my classwork when i have to and play around later.
C) What is your new goal?
My new goal is to get off the bed on time. I know my bed is really nice and all but I think school is more important.  I know that this class is very important and I know I could do way better. Trying to do my work on time, participate, do all my homework, labs and projects

Packet Tracer Project 4 Static Route

   For project 4 I had to create the topology above. Using packet tracer. We have been using packet tracer a lot for the past weeks. It wasnt really anything new. The topology has four 1941 Routers. I named them New york, Boston, Vegas, and Boarder; Four pc's, 7 networks, and four 2950T-24 switches. 

   The routers are configured staticly. To connect the topology I used a series of cables. Cables dce for routers so we could use clocks and straight-through cables for the switches and pcs. To make sure everything was working from what you can see from the picture all the lights have to be green. Turning on all ports will make sure the cables can connect the devices.  I configured gateways to the pcs. This will help the computers to send and receive information from the networks. After, I pinged the pcs. The pings will check the computers, routers and connectivity.  so many steps for just one topology. 

 From configuring routers and setting ip addresses to connecting devices using cables I was finally done.  making sure that everything was done correctly including the set up of the passwords,  ip addresses, subnet masks,  indicating interfaces just to prevent hackers from entering. I actually had fun doing this project i knew the basics and what to do from the previous projects. Which I think helped me out a lot and i'm happy to say it liked it.

The topology above has five networks and six end devices. which are the computers A-F. There are three switches and three routers. The hosts are connected by cables. A series of routing interfaces. The topology is connected by a basic configuration. All the routers are configured the same way.

QCC Trip Reflection

   On March 20th my classmates and I got the opportunity to go visit Queens community college. At the QCC campus we got to see a lot. We even got our own ID's. We saw Machines, Robots, Computers, and other Technology related things. We walked around from building to building, even the roof were they showed us the solar panels students installed. From what i saw i would have to say the Architecture class was the most interesting out of them all. It was new to see the classes from an actually a classroom.
   It was important to visit the campus because it give me an idea of how a college is like other then just reading about it. I got to sit in a class and listen to the professors talk. It was cool walking through the campus feelings like I was actually a college student. I met around 6 college professors. One for every course.
   I learned that college is not as hard as it sounds. also I learned that just like everyone says college is a whole lot different then High School. QCC was my first college campus I ever visited and it was great. I got to go last saturday for a math class I take. The campus was huge and we did a lot of walking. Im planning to visit 3 colleges before the summer. Im doing a Gear Up program that works with St.Johns university and I will get the chance to go on a trip to visit, Yale University, Fashion Institute of Technology & Georgetown University.  I cant wait!!
    From the trip I expected it to be boring and stupid but it was actually fun. Some classes were extremely boring but Hey not everything is fun. The trip was better than my expectations. I would go and visit again. I can't wait to go to college. One thing I learned is that you can finish college in less time rather than the average time. They also have an ASAP program (accelerated study in associate programs) that will help you with financial aid. i think i might even join.

A trace route is used to see the path by packets across an ip network. Making choice C correct. And choices D and B most likely to be wrong because are not command and A is using a routing table.

Why is it important to have CTE EXPO?

How do you feel about CTE EXPO? 

I think that CTE EXPO is a great experience to have during high school. I think that through my experience with CTE is changing a bit the way I think. I feel like Im learning another language and its actually helping me. I also feel that im going to benefit alot with CTE.

What would you do different nest time around?

   Next time around I think that I would give my classmates breath mints because the teacher said that people were complaining about how it smelled bad. lol, anyways I would also put my project towards the back because to many people were asking me non stop questions and it got kind of annoying at times. Also I would not work with the same people just so I could get the chance and work with others.

Did the event meet your expectations? 

The event went better than I expected actually. I didn't even want to come to school but im glad I did. I have to admit it was cool to dress up and to see what other classes do. And thinking about it im happy im with cisco because all the other technology classes were so boring.

What would you like to see happen in a CTE expo? 

In the CTE fair if we do have one next year I would like to see less people. To be honest the room had to many people and the atmosphere felt heavy. It was also very hot in the room and there were moments when I had to walk out for air.  yeah it was that crowed! other than that I think the event went awesome. 

Reflection of diagnostic text

                                                     Reflection of diagnostic test.

Taking the test i felt really unsure of everything I learned.  I did not recognize anything at all. well only a couple of words which were subnet mask, routers, network the usual but I has a lot of travel with 2 of the vocabulary words.  Now that I know my result which I got a 39% is very bad. thats my lowest score iv'e gotten this whole year. I feel like once I go over the chapter I will feel more confident and im determined to bring up my grade and study where I need help.

Smart Goals

                My goal is to keep my 90 and above average in cisco.

Specific: My goal is to maintain my 90 and above average in cisco. 
Measurable: Jupiter grades will tell me if I get a 90 and above or not. 
Attainable: I have to make sure im on time everyday and do all my work. Trying my best will help.
Realistic:  Insted of staying in my warm bed in the morning & taking my time to look pretty I will make sure Im in class & on time.
Timely:  I know Im going to need to work hard every single day for the rest of the semster. My effort will show and my hard work will pay off when i get my grades.
